THE MADNESS OF MAD M.A.C

Armed with an impressive, new and powerful, stack of dance-floor music, MAD M.A.C is ready to let loose onto dance music aficionados' from all over the world till the end of the year.

The British-born Voultsidis brothers of proud Greek heritage, Alexander and Chris, compose MAD M.A.C. Emerged a few years ago in London, this dj duo's growth has been incredible and their career continues to thrive toward great happenings.

2016 till as of this writing, we saw these seasoned djs/producers reaping the fruits of their labor having been seen performing in front of various venues and large crowds all over Europe.

The highlight of their career is being the first artists to represent Greecce in the king of all festivals - Tomorrowland in Belgium. The 1998 released Rock original "Renegade Master" by Wildchild was reborn with the fresh, chunky, tribal twist by MAD M.A.C in collaboration with Jamis and of course, the bouncy edit of the biggest DJ duo in the world, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. EYEBROW MICROBLADING: BEST GIFT FOR WOMEN & MEN

While some are born with great natural eyebrows, some just need to achieve great natural-looking eyebrows. Yesterday, I posted in my social media that 20 years before me, I struggled daily because of my thin eyebrows. I just would want to be caught dead by any human being within my eyebrows drawn. The struggle was just real...

Expensive eyebrow pencils and brow shaping brushes were my security blanket (the essentials in my bag) that monthly, I had to go buy new ones. Of course going to cosmetic shops wou;d mean leaving me broke. I remember those times of hoarding on perfect eyebrow pencils because cosmetic manufacturers phase out the line in 5-12 months. Crazy as it may sound, I just never left home without eyebrows drawn on. It has been a daily habit from simple brows to glam. This is the pain us women have to bear so we resort to enhancements.

While most women want other body parts or facial features enhanced, I only wanted to have more brows (with a nice, natural look) that doesn't turn dark green and that doesn't like you're about to devour every single human being who crosses your path. Yes, I have seen so many pretty womens' eyebrows got effed up by "so-so and so-called" artists offering eyebrow tattooing and microblading. Some women are at fault too! They go to their eyebrow tattoo artists carrying some actresses' photo and demand that it has to be done the same but not one's perfect eyebrows are suitable to anyone. Here's the hidden truth that your artist may not tell you because they're just in it for the money or pressed by duty to work... eyebrows should fully frame and complement your bone structure. I feel it is just fair that I share this because hard-earned money shouldn't go to waste and to enhance our faces, shouldn't mean it gets wasted too. This was my experience to end the daily and expensive suffering on eyebrows...

FINDING MAYONE

Being an online professional for over a decade now, I normally look at womens' photos a lot and I look at makeup artists' works at lot too. I have many makeup artist friends owing to the industry I am in... nightlife, and there is one that stood out for me over the years when it comes to their works. She has done my make in many occassions and she is Mayone.

Proof that she is a professional makeup artist.

I learned a few months back that she is going to venture into eyebrow microblading (thank God for my Facebook that day). I didn't get in touch with her back then but I was already thrilled that if she nails her studies, I have hopes she could do something. Fast forward to last week, I got in touch with her to help me with my dilemma and she granted me my first session schedule yesterday despite her being a busy makeup artist / wedding planner. Booked and excitedly went with twenty five thousand pesos (approximately US$555) and a Megan Fox photo prepared on my phone which I showed while I was filling out the medical protocol form. Mayone instantly broke my heart a bit saying she will never do any procedure If I insist that I get Megan Fox's eyebrows explaining eyebrow shapes aren't one-size-fits-all. She further told me achieveing the perfect brow will depend on the dimensions of my face and that having the right arches can only not emphasize my eyes but will make me look younger and that I can get away with wearing less makeup. Makes sense but I was still in denial and still under the illusion that I can do the Megan Fox eyebrows (LOL)... having the same Oval Shaped Face. I tried my PR skills on her but it didn't work because she started blabbering about the procedure involving accuracy on my facial structures. She started blabbering about very important parts of the face structure like it all depends on my Supraorbital Process and Supraorbital Foramen with some explanations involving the only subject I hate the most... MATH... Mental Abuse To Humans. She got me right there because I got dizzy (LOL)..

FIRST PHASE: FINDING THE BEST SHAPE FOR ME 

I laid down on her comfy operating table inside her makeup studio and she professionally discussed to me the procedures. We are both good friends but yesterday, she was just like a doctor making me feel that she is serious about this particular job. And this is the longest part and the most important stemp. It is the most meticulous process in microblading procedures because she had to see the best customized shape for me in accordance to my facial bone structures.

Mayone showed me her primary tool for shaping eyebrows. The PhiBrows Golden Ration Divider to ensure you get the perfectly shaped brows.

See how thin my eyebrows are? Since 18 years old I had these hideously thin brows which made me look older than my actual years.

She started to draw outlines for the perfect brow that's best for me.

I had a good laugh after she showed me the outlines. It was the funniest look on me because I never imagined a raw vision of thick brows. Not the kind of outline I usually draw in the past. I felt weird the Mayone then dropped me this question, "Do you want me to add more arch or do you trust me enough that this is the best for you to look fresh, young and overall look more attractive?" At that point, she really got my attention and my wholehearted go signal.

SECOND PHASE: MICROBLADING

Here comes the most exciting part. Mayone showed me the tools prior to beginning the long process which took about an hour while continously enjoying the music. If you had tattoos done before on your body like I did, then this stage means nothing because we already know how outlining tattoos feel. If not, here's what I can tell you best... ever felt your eyebrows plucked fast one by one? It hurts right? That's the level of pain and I am absolutely sure first timers will just do fine. You have the option to hold on to the stress ball Mayone gave which I never got to use or play Pokemon Go with your eyes closed. I just laid my ass there and let her do the work.

Mayone introduced Wesley Snipes to me... the Blade, all sealed for my protection.

And there she introduced her PhiBrows Classic Holder which holds the blade for the purpose of microblading.

While my eyes are closed during the procedure, I realized that microblading is like doing fine slashes to create fine hairs. Yes i heard the tiny slashes which hurt each time but I must say again, bearable. I don't have a picture of me while undergoing this process because I trying to take a photo is impossible. I was absolutely in the mercy of Wesley Snipes' slashing on my eyebrows. 

THIRD PHASE: SECOND PART MICROBLADING

After seing the outline, I got very pleased with Mayone's work on me that I happily let her finish the work which took another hour. 

Look ma! I have more hair on my brows! 

This time a topical anaesthesia for numbing is placed over my brows to let Mayone continue doing what she does best! I felt nothing during the third phase and this is when I feel more relaxed. I started talking about the horrors other friends (women and men) experienced with local so-so and so-called" eyebrow specialists out there. Of course, those were the cheaper ones available done by employees if their bosses are not available. I've seen these kinds of eyebrows on Facebook and oh I wanted to tell those brows to rest in peace. I feel sorry for those who let themselves get into the procedure without taking the time to know what's best for them to have great eyebrows. Microblading is the best procedure for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps and or fill-in over plucked brows.

Giddy and proud over the results, I am no longer bald in my eyebrows.

After 3 hours, I am done and very happy to have what God ommitted in providing when he blessed me with this face. Below is my before and after procedure. Notice that I look more fresh, prettier and younger? And see those fine looking hair blades? Bet you can't tell which ones are the microblade works and which ones are the real hairs.

Mayone is absolutely brilliant at this eyebrow microblading procedure! She was born to do beauty indeed and I hugged her so tight after the procedure to show her how happy I am with the results. The best thing about microblading is there are no down times. I get to do selfies right away after the process. Mayone told me to come back after a month for a free touch-up. After touch-up, how long will it last? 18 - 24 months depending upon the adaptability of the procedure done on your skin.

I will be blogging again on "How To Care" next week because I am going through current low-maintenance caring of my new set of eyebrows but I can already tell you that my pro told me that the healing depends on the human. On the average humans, it takes  25 to 30 days. I think I will heal fully in just a few days because I feel super! 

Today... August 7, 2016... I woke up like this and I absolutely feel great!

Since Tomorrowland Belgium in 2014 they gained further notoriety and returned last July for two massive appearances... Tomorrowland's Dreamville The Gathering with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike & Yves and at Hardwell's Revealed stage with the world's number 1 dj Hardwell himself!   

Inspired by film scores and rock influences, brilliant collaborations with other world-class djs, Jetfire gained admiration from their peers and by those who have witnessed their passion for music.

THE BLU JOB

Now don't go crazy about the title of this blog! It's not what you expect, you little dirty-minded you! It's about the job that I have with BLU which I fondly call as the BLU job. :D

I slept well for some good 3 1/2  hours since I got home and I just woke up feeling too excited this year for my life, for my company, for my team and for the brand I represent. Last year, I had so much to do that I barely have enough time to update this personal blog site of mine. Three minutes ago when I opened my account, I realized, I missed spontaneous blogging so much about random thoughts and about the way too many exciting things that transpired in my life last year but then, I wrote so much that the only time I had was do it via my Instagram account where I posted my craziness.

My instagram account is a steady evidence open to public that it all seemed fast-paced and 2014 has gone by so quickly for me. As I scrolled down to look at my posts from the time 2014 entered the calendar (which was about the same time when we started with BLU Energy Drink in the Philippines), I realized I really had so much fun with my life last year that there was only one period that I suffered from burnout. Amazing! In the past years of me working online primarily doing SEO / Social Media Marketing works, I normally suffer from this twice or thrice a year that I had to shut the internet off from my life for some long period of time.

Looking at all my instagram posts in 2014, I can truly say that my work for a year and 3 months at BLU is entirely different from the previous companies and accounts which I also served well for many years. My passion and loyalty on this brand alone is entirely different... incredibly different! There are way too many reasons why it is like that but the top reasons are - One, it is an incredible product and a great, global brand. Two, it is owing to the fact that I was there from the very beginning with my boss. Oh my! From helping set up our corporate office, to help set up team mates till BLU's arrival... it was all bittersweet! Especially remembering now that time when the first shipment of BLU arrived in the Philippines... I felt like I was giving birth to three BLU babies... Classic, Cranberry and Lemon Lime, the first three variants of BLU in the Philippines.

There were way too many exciting moments that followed that event. From seeing ourselves take painstakingly baby steps, to heartbreaks/rejections here and there, to getting way past all the negativity and overcome challenges, to receiving positivity from thousands who have already tried and believed in BLU and to finally seeing where we are right now - all over the Philippine market via 7-Eleven in just barely a year for millions of Filipinos to enjoy because BLU gives you NO palpitation, NO caffeine crash, NO stomach upset and NO aftertaste! Yeah... drink it to believe it!

The first year is truly an amazing ride for me! I was simply way too busy documenting the first year of BLU and loving every moment of it! Do I remember myself working hard last year? Yes, of course. I lived with tons of pressures, struggles and disappointments but I have lived beyond all them fast because I considered these as part of my year with BLU. Funny thing though, it all seemed like I didn't really work hard If I look back to when I started... that's because I truly enjoyed the whole year!

And so I woke up earlier excited... enough for me to even take some time to blog about it. Sigh! I can finally say that this was indeed the dream job I longed for in my entire professional and corporate life. I say WAS... because I grabbed it, I nabbed it and I will let no one take it away from me! Why should I? Working for BLU is the best gift and blessing to me... I don't feel like I worked a day in my life last year! It was destiny (thanks to my boss Shai for believing in me) and now I have the vision of all the exciting things in store for BLU and for me personally, this year. I can't divulge on it yet though (I'd be fired for it LOL) but all will be revealed in due time at the social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+) that my team and I handle. #SorryNotSoSorry for the shameless plugging on BLU accounts. I am just too happy and proud of  BLU. I should make sense to you all... I love what I do (the BLU job) and I will do things better, longer and with greater passion. So strap your seat belts on tight! With the help of everyone in the BLU Team Philippines, we will be taking you all for an awesome ride this year... just #BLUyourMind ;-)

THE OFF PRICE SHOW TURNS 3: LIKE FESTIVAL OF GREAT BARGAIN FINDS

Call me Miss Off Price Show addict because I have been at every of their shows all over the Philippines since day 1 because I am addicted to great bargain hunting. It's like a festival of great bargain finds! I'm a traveller too and whenever I see The Off Price Show schedules, I make it a point to be there. Call me crazy but hey, each trip is really worth making it for me!

Seriously, I am not a shopaholic but I do confess that at The Off Price Show, I get to be a little more!. The shows' calendar of events are usually a great timing for me that's why! This year, I have been to Alabang just before my kid's birthday where I bought him cool gadgets from Ekotek.

What I'm expecting at the World Trade Center Tent event that started yesterday till September 28? Nothing... because everything is better than the normal sale we all are accustomed too. No expectations because you will really end up happy if you are gonna be able to experience it too like my blogger friends!  Im still drooling when I saw what my friend Azrael bought because I am a Star Wars fan!

IN AND OUT, IN AND OUT...

We all fall in and out of relationships especially now in the era of technology. Gone were the teenage ideals, hopes and dreams of meeting just that one true love. Relationships are like buying cars nowadays... you gotta test drive first before actually getting them. Sounds cruel but that's how it is now.

As I read through my Facebook newsfeed yesterday, I can that many of my friends are going through so much drama about relationships. Whether they be family, friends, business and love relationships, the ranting on Facebook was just so much. One girl friend is going through a very toxic relationship lately and has discovered that the currently love of her life is cheating on her. A gay friend had an amorous bedroom affair with his lover for months, thinks that they have a love thing going on yet, he expresses that he finds himself feeling empty. A male friend just got out of a relationship lately, got into a relationship with a new one yet finding himself missing the old flame. Another girl friend talked about how blatantly her foreign boyfriend is making her feel insecure about herself. 

Toxic relationships. Shady relationships. We all go through or went through with that leaving us weak, confused and punctured. I chatted with these friends of mine to offer some kind of help and they revealed one common thing... they are going through the same kind of relationships over and over again. The psychological impact of bad relationships on us is just amazingly big and when we do get over them, we seem to be lured again into the same type of relationships. Maybe us humans are wired that way... that we keep on feeling powerless and get trapped in something we do don't want to be in. However, there are some of us who are really strong about things inspiring me to come up with possible ways to feel good about ourselves as we improve on handling relationships:

1. DON'T RUSH...

The Dating Stage
Relationships need not be rushed. We need to relax and just enjoy the moments spent with someone we fancy or we are dating . Just because life is hectic, it doesn't mean we have to rush ourselves nor others at all into something. We take time to know them more, take time to cherish the giddy side of dating, take time to discover the little pleasures of a mere glance or smile we get from them when we see them. Keep in mind that we all got our own lives too.

The First Intimacy Stage
At that very moment the act of intimacy happens, just keep enjoying it. No rush. Enjoy that first intimate things with someone. Linger on kisses, necking, petting and all those groping stuff. They are all fun especially when things go further.

The Falling Stage
Sometimes reality has its' way of biting us in the ass and there strikes many fears inside us. Fear of whether the thing going on will last or not, fear of the other person not really loving you back, fear if you really love that person and so many others things we do feel when we are starting to fall.  Although it's normal to start thinking of things we dread in life, just go with the flow. Sometimes it pays to through caution to the wind.

2. DON'T THINK TOO MUCH
Over-thinking complicates budding relationships. While it is normal to feel scared, insecure, doubtful and off-center with the people we like, it is not helping the relationship at all because we tend to doubt it as a whole.

3. MAKE AN EFFORT TO COMMUNICATE
Yes, life can sometimes be cruel enough to push the other one away so make an effort to communicate. Building relationships require a lot of work and communication is the key but don't nag too much though. Remember, all relationships should have freedom.

4. LOVE YOURSELF MORE
There is something about loving yourself that makes you attractive to the opposite sex. Stop dealing with the past, don't compare your current flame to your old one and accepting the NOW are one of the things that can build relationships.

If you still feel insecure, powerless or you sense that you are trapped in a relationship or a budding one, then there is no relationship. The relationship doesn't exist at all. It takes a solid team work for both and a free will on your part to run any kind of relationships while keeping in mind that the endeavor needs freedom too. 

In, out, in out... that's the way love goes for everyone of us. In order to stay in, we just have to do our best to continue to build or keep a relationship if it is all worth our life's journey. And oh! Getting hurt eventually is part of it so just relax. For me, every relationship we encounter is worth the experience. It makes us feel we are alive! Fall in love! If it falls out, so what? It is then we move on. There are always reasons beyond us why things didn't work and it is always for the better. ;-) 

NO RAINBOW, WITHOUT A LITTLE RAIN

Woke up with a heavy heart today and I realize that there are times in my life when I need to reassess myself... slowing down and readjusting my life's trajectory. Lately, I have been encountering burnouts that people can't see or don't notice in me. I have had several road bumps lately that caused me prolonged stress and I battle it every day. 

Over the past years I have blogged about burnouts especially in my case that I am one human being that's 24/7 online owing to my profession. I have written about life management difficulty especially when there are things in our lives can turn our worlds upside down leaving us totally worn out and helpless, physically and mentally. Everything just seems look bleak and it is hard for us to gather all energy to care or let alone, do something to get out of it. Way back 2010, I confessed about experiencing burnout as an SEO... caused my world and my life to tilt fast. It is a vicious cycle. Yes, in my profession and most of us in the internet and social media, we struggle on this everyday after all, social media never really sleeps and that's what most people don't know about us..

It is just difficult to handle such a thing with technology interfering personal lives, personal activities and especially when one would get a punctured heart may it be owing to jealousy, an unfulfilled promise to loved one, not having the time for any intimacy, and so many more that a human heart experiences. This renders us to have this lack of emotion or apathy... the emotion is there though...all bottled up and waiting to burst. It's just dangerously nerve-wracking.

Here I go again, struggling to cope and overcome burnout. I know exactly what I need to do. I've been there before so I just have to hang in tough and continue to do what I need to do. Focus may be difficult but all I need is to slow down, pause, relax and re-evaluate my goals and priorities once more.

I am a toughie. I've always been. I can do this over and over again...it may take days, weeks, months to fully overcome. When a damn usually bursts, all I have to do is swim... no but's and if's. At the end of this all, I'm gonna smile again... a smile that takes only a special few to know that deep inside, I am okay and back on my feet. Nothing in life is not manageable and as as wise men used to say, "There is no rainbow, without a little rain".

BETTER THAN SALE INDEED: THE OFF PRICE SHOW FILINVEST TENT JULY 18-20, 2014

Normally, I wouldn't go to Alabang to go shopping but this time, it's different because of The Off Price Show that's now on it's 2nd day at the Filinvest Tent, Filinvest City, Alabang. The trip was worth it all the way from Makati with my blog mate, Rey.

The moment we walked in, I went nuts over bags and I bought one of them authentic signature bags (won't mention the brand because it is a gift for a bestfriend) for a marked down price of P9,600! Yeah no BS... take your pick which one I got on these photos!

Did I say that all major credit cards are accepted here? Yup, it is and it is the perfect time to buy a well-deserved bag for yourself! 

There are so many things I got for my loved ones... I bought an Ekotab for my kiddo for a change wherein the original price used to be 5k+ but I got it for P3,999 and had the Ekotek attendants install all the games my kiddo wants! Got tons of Armani shirts for my brothers and my kiddo. Got Barbie dresses for my bestfriends' daughters.  There are so many more lifestyle brands there that i went gaga for. THE OFF PRICE SHOW FILINVEST TENT 2014: BETTER THAN SALE

I am so excited to go to the 2nd day of The Off Price Show July 18 - 20, 2014 happening at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang! I saved my paycheck to buy a new gadget for my kiddo and some lifestyle clothing which I could use during my travels.

The Off Price Show is now bigger and "better than sale" with so more and more lifestyle brands joining the show this time Grabbed some of the photos at The Off Price Show Facebook Page on happy shoppers hunting for bargain stuff for themselves and their loved ones.

I am so itching to go now to buy stuff there! I'n on my way after posting this! I always love The Off Price Show for the many great finds that I get at really big discounts!  Will post some of what I bought later today and probably a Vlog if I get the chance. :-)
