ROSE STEIN: AIRBRUSH MAKEUP EXPERT IN MANILA, PHILIPPINES

In the past, I keep on seeing on various social media platforms friends and people wanting to learn about airbrush make up and that they go to school for it. I got curious but shrugged the idea off as make up didn't really interest me that much till I met Rose Stein, a Manila-based, Professional Hair and Makeup Artist and Airbrush Makeup Expert.

I met Rose Stein a decade ago in a modeling project I spearheaded. Throughout the years, I see her doing more and more gigs in modeling. We went out with common friends a few times but I never knew till late that she is now one professional airbrush makeup expert in Manila. I bumped into her recently at a friend's bridal shower then wedding engagement and it was there that I knew about her career.

Airbrush as she told me is a technique of spraying makeup onto the skin using an airbrush instead of being applied using brushes, fingers, sponges, etc. and I learned that them makeup professionals really go to school for this. Rose Stein also told me that she even has to go to London School of Makeup to get advanced studies for this. Wow... I thought to myself... isn't it very expensive to do so? I did ask Rose and she said yes it is very expensive indeed but that sacrifices has to be made to further improve herself in her skills and profession. Here are some of her works in the past that I got from Rose Stein's official website www.maryrosestein.com

I then thought it is a wise move having further studies offshore. The move would make her a formidable star in her field... I mean, not every make up artist makes the serious effort nor has some money saved to make room for improvement. To be competitive and excel on a certain field, improvement can be never-ending as nothing is constant. Especially in beauty and fashion, one has to be in the know of what's hot and what's not... conforming to the trend.

Watch out for Rose Stein, women in the Philippines! She is one to be searched for when it comes to makeup artistry in the country. Below is one her brochures for your reference. All contact details are there including her email should you need to ask for rates as well as mobile, website and Facebook page.

Rose Stein uses high quality cosmetic brands that is apt for your skin type and colour to ensure the best results.

WHAT'S GOING ON: BEST VIDEO RESPONSE TO JONAH MOWRY

There were millions of people like me who were touched by young Jonah Mowry's gut-wrenching revelation via a youtube video. Perez Hilton is one of the big names in the celebrity blogging world who made sure that the world heard the boy's cry. I also did my fair share of showing him my love and support... doing mine in writing as per my previous blog, "What's Going On: Jonah Mowry's Cry For Help".

As an SEO, my works kept me online and during my relaxed moments, I draft blogs and I have been watching out for people's comments via social media platforms and people's video responses via youtube eversince it has become totally viral. Many touched my heart as well for their overwhelming love and support for Jonah Mowry but I have already seen the most genuine response... the one that gave me a big smile on my face at the end... a video response from Jonathon Grant.

Jonathon Grant's smile is infectious! For me, his video response is the most genuine of all that I have watched and seen so far... using index cards and his chosen background music... Boyce Avenue doing the cover of Pink's "F**kin Perfect" song! This is... actually for me, the best and the most apt song for a video response to Jonah Mowry...

Made a wrong turn, once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
Bad decisions, that's all right
Welcome to my silly life

Mistreated, misplaced, miss understood
Miss "no way it's all good"
It didn't slow me down
Mistaken, always second guessing
Underestimated, look, I'm still around...

Pretty, pretty please...
Don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than
Less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please
If you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing
You are perfect to me

You're so mean, when you talk

About yourself, you are wrong

Change the voices, in your head

Make them like you instead

So complicated
Look how big you'll make it
Filled with so much hatred
Such a tired game

It's enough
I've done all I can think of
Chased down all my demons
I see you do the same

Pretty, pretty please...
Don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than
Less than perfect

Pretty, pretty please
If you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing
You are perfect to me

To fully understand and appreciate what I feel, please take some time to watch Jonathon Grant's video...

It does feel good to have an adult survivor of bullying bring a smile to young Jonah Mowry, right? Absolutely the best!

Kudos to Jonathon Grant... you are also one heck of an inspiring person! :-)

Update: Jonathon Grant is currently pursuing a TV and film career. Check out the "About" page in his website.

THE GRAND LAUNCH OF TIME IN MANILA 09.16.11

Time flies so fast…
It seems like it wasn’t long ago when former club owners Domini Primero and Jay Server were hunting for the best team of partners they can possibly be with then, for the “Underground Club Project.” In reality, it really took them awhile. Many expressed interest in joining. The duo could’ve have just gone for their rich friends and acquaintances but, they took their time.

To qualify as a partner in the club, it has nothing to do with money… it has something to do with a conviction to build a club for people who knows what quality dance music is all about. It was like a job interview for the other partners… they were thoroughly questioned on the belief and faith for the “underground” music policy for the club... owing to the fact that there are not a lot of proper venues for dancing. It took the duo a long time… but the brilliant wait was all worth it.

All our possessions for a moment of Time…
The whole process of tearing down the old building, once the home for historical underground clubs Seven-Eight Orange and Government was easy… but constructing a new one for TIME IN MANILA is like surviving a Russian mafia gun hold-up with Snoop Dog.

People have been wondering… what’s taking it so long. Rumors even spread it was never going to open. Behind the construction of a 3-level club, were partners constantly deliberating, carefully planning for everyone’s new home for a cutting-edge dance club in the Philippines.

This Time, like all times, is a very good one, if we but know what to do with it…
The structure was built, the insides of it polished, staff prepared to take orders… but what to do? March 2011 we softly opened doors of TIME IN MANILA. From little party events to collaborations with great minds of locals believing what the club is all about, to big ones showcasing live dj sets for the best foreign djs… big names such as Rosie Romero (Space), Sonny Wharton (UK), John “00” Fleming, Jojo Flores (Got Soul Montreal), Jazzanova, Soultribe... all were successful but we all had to remain cautious of what we do.  And so we have properly structured all partners’ and event planners’ involvement in the club.  We all thank everyone who have been with us from day one as we struggled for our call to proper dance clubbing experience. Now, everyone together with the management staff works as a team, we are all ready to deliver the best clubbing experience in Manila to those who love to dance.

Time is more valuable than money. Time is the greatest constituent of life…
TIME IN MANILA… A nightclub with rock-star appeal through the vision of experienced entrepreneurs and underground house music affecionados will soon be embarking upon a taste of nightlife that will exceed any other nightclub experience ever imagined in the nation’s capital…. Manila.

Located at 7840 Makati Avenue, Makati City, the club built for an exclusive capacity of only 500 boasts a simple but beautiful ambiance including a main room with less furniture for the sole objective of making more space for dancing, a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, second floor VIP area and a cool roofdeck for lounge and eclectic dance music.

It's now TIME...
TIME IN MANILA is now ready for its’ grand launch on September 16, 2011 featuring one of the world’s best DJs, Nick Warren.

TIME IN MANILA opens 5 days in a week and will be the home to the hottest promoters in the Philippines, home to foreign resident DJs, home to featured world-class DJs and celebrity hosts using TIME as their venue, not merely for revelry but for endless appreciation of what real night clubbing life is all about.

It’s TIME for change…
It’s TIME to dance…
It’s TIME.

HELICOPTER RESCUE OF TWO PINOYS IN SOUTH CHINA SEA

January 31, 2011... a 3:15pm distress call from an oil tanker Ghawar Nassau to Airgurus Ltd. Co., the leading Air Ambulance Company in the Philippines, was received.

The China-bound tanker's captain requested for the immediate airlift / medical evacuation of two (2) critically injured Filipinos. These men figured in an accident on board (one broken hip and one broken leg) and are requiring to be brought to the Metropolitan Hospital in Manila for immediate medical attention.

An hour before that distress call to Airgurus Ltd. Co., the ship's captain previously called the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) pnly to be advised that PCG can only pick the men up in 2 - 3 days. The good captain of the ship was so concerned about these Filipinos' conditions thus; he sought for help from the shipping company in Manila to contact anyone who could get these men some help fast as they head back closer to the Philippines.

The call was made to Capt. Harry Lero of Airgurus Ltd. Co. who, understanding the urgency of the call, immediately called for SkyAid's doctor and Aeromed medical staff to go with him to South China Sea and have 2 ground ambulances be on a standby at the hangar when they arrived.

SkyAid is an air ambulance program by Airgurus Ltd. Co. and Aeromed providing access to medical air transport in the country.

Airgurus Ltd. Co. with its' partnership with Aeromed... SkyAid is the best air ambulance solution if ever you're in a medical emergency or figured accident far away from adequate medical care anywhere in the Philippines.
