LEARNING COLORS IN GREEK

For over a year now, I have been studying the Greek language. My fascination with Greece is just amazing... the ancient history, the Greek Mythology, the ruins, the people and life.

I think... I am Greek in heart but perhaps in my past life, I may have really been Greek. Maybe I was a servant to the gods thus explaining my infatuation with Greek Mythology or married to a Spartan. I don't know... I may never know why but all I know is that even if I haven't been there yet, I feel entirely different whenever I hear the word "Greek" and "Greece".

Planning for my dream trip one day to Greece, I decided to take time studying colors and actually say it in Greek. I've read the following earlier and as I take time re-arranging my clothes in the cabinet, I applied and speak the words out loud.

Aspro = white - άσπρο
Mavro = black - μαύρο
Gri = grey - γκρι
Kokkino = red - κόκκινο
Ble = blue - μπλε
Kitrino = yellow - κίτρινο
Prassino = green - πράσινο
Kafe = brown - καφέ
Mov = purple - μωβ
Galazio = light blue - γαλάζιο

At the end of keeping my clothes neatly stacked, I saw that I have arranged my clothes in accordance to my personal choice of combinations... mavro and aspro / gri, galazio and ble / kokkino, kafe and mov / kitrino and prassino.

Hmmm... I gotta arrange underwear now and practice speaking greek in colors.
